MEC Board appoints new General Manager

The Mountain Electric Cooperative (MEC) Board of Directors is happy to announce, effective  May 10th, 2021, Chris Stoia as the new acting General Manager. Chris is replacing Joe Thacker who is retiring after 30+ years with MEC. “I’ve got some large shoes to fill,” said Chris of the promotion.
Chris has been with MEC as the Director of Engineering and Operations since March of 2020. He came to MEC with 25+years of experience in electric power distribution engineering. He has
been a licensed professional electrical engineer since 2001 and is licensed in ten states. MEC is happy to have Chris, his wife Dana, and their two sons William and Walker as part of the MEC family. Join us in wishing Chris well in his new endeavor as MEC General Manager. Congratulations, Chris!
