MEC is offering a $1,000 REWARD for information resulting in the conviction of individuals involved in the vandalism of their property at the Butler Bridge on Hwy 67 West. MEC has been installing underground cable through a conduit along the Butler Bridge which will increase reliability of service to their members. On Monday, September 11^th, MEC discovered the conduit and underground cable wire were both cut in an attempt to steal the underground cable. This damage will cost up to $100,000 dollars to repair and delays project progress. The vandals are very fortunate the underground cable was not energized, as contact with this wire would have been fatal. Please call 423-727-1800 with any information.
