( 40-gallon min.)   • A rebate of $25 for a 40 gal. standard WH and $100 for a lifetime WH replacement is available when you replace your present water heater. • The homeowner must present MEC with a copy of the purchase invoice. MEC will verify installation and issue a credit to the homeowner upon request after the water heater is installed. Success of the program depends on paying your monthly bill's "amount due" by the due date. Failure to do so could result in removal from the program. GREEN POWER SWITCH Individuals now have the opportunity to invest in power generated by wind, landfill gas, and solar thus eliminating some environmental pollution. Green power may be purchased in 150 kWh blocks. Each block costs an extra $4/ month on your electric bill.
