State Inspector Information

Effective February 1st, 2022: Mountain Electric Cooperative will no longer process electric permit applications for the State of Tennessee. Permits may be purchased online at www.core.tn.gov . Video instructions are also on this website to guide you through the application process.

*Permits must be purchased/scheduled 24 hours prior to the desired inspection date.

Visit www.core.tn.gov to obtain a permit.

-Carter County: 423-470-8154 on Monday’s and Wednesday’s between 8:00-9:00 a.m.

-Johnson County: 423-470-8154 on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s between 8:00-9:00 a.m.

A final electrical inspection must be passed before electric service can be connected.

Septic System Services are now Computerized in Tennessee
